is a non-stock, non-profit national organization of Filipino entrepreneurs and businessmen, duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It was formed in 1997 by a pioneering group of men and women who recognized the potential for business expansion through franchising. This same group likewise identified the local franchising industry's need for a governing body that would police its ranks, safeguard its interests and promote its causes. Thus, AFFI was born.

Today, the organization has evolved into a venue wherein all interested entrepreneurs, franchisers as well as non-franchisers, can network with colleagues to share best practices and trade trends for their mutual advancement.

So whether you are a franchiser, a franchisee or an entrepreneur aspiring to expand your venture, AFFI and its website has lots in store for you. Browse through our site to learn more about AFFI and joining us can help you!

AFFI's Goals

The core of AFFI's existence is anchored on its three-pronged objective of professionalizing, standardizing and optimizing the potential of Filipino businesses in general and the local franchise industry, in particular.

1. Professionalize
  • To create a venue by which the advancement of members' business interests and aspirations can be addressed.
  • To establish a code of ethics that will guide and police every members' franchising and business operations.
  • To represent the interests of Filipino businesses, particularly in government fora.
2. Standardize
  • To map out salient components of local franchising operations in various industries that would serve as blueprints/guides for would-be franchisers.
  • To establish a quality seal guaranteeing professional franchising methods and operations.
3. Optimize Filipino Potential
  • To mobilize the promotion of Filipino products and services so as to achieve success for local businesses.
  • To advance franchising education programs most relevant to Filipino culture.

Membership Requirements and Benefits

Members of AFFI benefit from exclusive opportunities to network with other entrepreneurs and respected business leaders. Regular meetings are geared towards the fostering camaraderie among its members while addressing topics relevant to current business issues. AFFI and its members actively participate in trade shows and exhibits to help promote their businesses and the organization's causes.

While the organization is primarily geared towards furthering the concept of franchising by Filipinos, it is NOT a requirement that members be franchisers. A number of the members are non-franchisers, while others have started out as single-store operators who have decided to expand their businesses through franchising.
