| is a non-stock, non-profit national organization of Filipino entrepreneurs and businessmen, duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It was formed in 1997 by a pioneering group of men and women who recognized the potential for business expansion through franchising. This same group likewise identified the local franchising industry's need for a governing body that would police its ranks, safeguard its interests and promote its causes. Thus, AFFI was born.
Today, the organization has evolved into a venue wherein all interested entrepreneurs, franchisers as well as non-franchisers, can network with colleagues to share best practices and trade trends for their mutual advancement.

Membership Requirements and Benefits
Members of AFFI benefit from exclusive opportunities to network with other entrepreneurs and respected business leaders. Regular meetings are geared towards the fostering camaraderie among its members while addressing topics relevant to current business issues. AFFI and its members actively participate in trade shows and exhibits to help promote their businesses and the organization's causes.
While the organization is primarily geared towards furthering the concept of franchising by Filipinos, it is NOT a requirement that members be franchisers. A number of the members are non-franchisers, while others have started out as single-store operators who have decided to expand their businesses through franchising.
